ABOUT TEN AUBURN VOLUNTEER FIREMEN responded with two pumper trucks to a Nov. 27 fire in a garage behind a residence at 1016 7th Street. Fire Chief Vaughn Severs said the call went out at 10:30 that Friday morning and the building quickly became engulfed in flames. Severs said the fire apparently began with a heat lamp, possibly having been knocked over by chickens inside the building. The Fire Chief said his crew remained on the scene for about 90 minutes.
