Travel Returning to Normal Near Brownville
THOSE TRAVELING TO AND FROM Cooper Nuclear Station from the north and west again have the opportunity to take 640AAvenue as the Missouri River continues to recede slowly. Information from the National Weather Service registered the river level at 37.9 feet on October 24 (when this photograph was taken) about four foot above flood stage. Commonly referred to as the Cooper access road, 640A Avenue begins to flood when the river stage reaches 39.5 feet. It has been closed more than once since the extensive flooding dating back March of this year.
