Southeast Nebraska Community Wildfire Protection Plan Done

The Nebraska Forest Services announces completion of the Southeast Nebraska Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP).
It encompasses Nemaha and 11 other regional counties. The document was prepared with the collaboration of counties, emergency managers, fire departments, natural resources agencies and individuals.
The Nemaha County Commissioners accepted it in early August.
The plan is intended to enhance collaboration and communication among the various agencies and organizations who manage fire in Southeast Nebraska. It also will assist them effectively prepare for and respond to wildfire.
