Peru Improvement Possibilities Suggested at Town Hall Meeting Attended by About 40 Residents

Emerging opportunities for Peru were presented Wednesday night, Nov. 14.

“We’re excited for the opportunity to work together. Together we can achieve the best future for Peru and Peru State College (PSC),” Mayor Darrin Reeves told about 40 attending a community forum at City Hall.

“We worked for a vision to work as one for the betterment of the community,” Jason Jones of the Peru City Council said of groups collaborating in ImPERUving as One. It includes city and college officials, city residents and friends of the college.

By rotating among five stations spread out in the meeting room, suggestions were offered in infrastructure, housing, relationships and communications, economic/ business development, and attraction and retention. The categories were identified at four Peru Community Conversations during October.
