Nemaha Commissioners Talk Part-Time Veterans Service Office Assistant

A part-time assistant for the Veterans Service Office was discussed Monday, Dec. 23 by the Nemaha County Commissioners.

Martin Hayes of the Veterans Service Board notes he has spoken with Jim Reed, veterans service officer about the position. Hayes said Reed, who has been serving since Dec. 18, 2017 has been having some medical issues. The Veterans Service Board wants to make sure there is someone in the office to handle veterans’ needs when they stop in, Hayes explained.
