Americans enjoy their freedom and can live in peace because of sacrifices made by those serving in the U.S. military.
Al Armstrong, American Legion Post 23 commander, remarked to open the Monday, May 31 observance at Legion Memorial Park.
Everyone is encouraged to think about what Memorial Day means to them, related Auburn Mayor Dan White. The mayor called the holiday a time to remember and reflect while honoring all of our fallen heroes.
