Guidance Counselors Make Reports to APS Board of Ed

Reports by guidance counselors at Auburn Public Schools (APS) were presented to the Board of Education Monday, Nov. 14.

Stephen Kennedy, school board president, said he understands all aspects of counselors connecting with students. They are involved with the youth from when they enter APS through graduation, Kennedy stated.

Autumn Reeves, elementary counselor, said the mission of the elementary program is promoting healthy growth and development on the academic, social and emotional levels. It includes working closely with staff, teachers and administrators. Preventative, responsive and related/indirect services are available, she noted.
