Fatality in Nov. 11 Collision on Viaduct North of Auburn Likely the Result of Freezing Conditions

A Lincoln man died from injuries sustained in a Wednesday morning, Nov. 11 two-vehicle crash on Highway 75. It occurred on the viaduct at the north edge of Auburn.
He has been identified as Kurt Kechely, age 60.
The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office reports Kechely was driving a northbound Ford F250 at about 7:40 a.m. He crossed into the southbound lane striking a semi-truck driven by Shane Fisher of Bellevue. Both drivers were transported to Nemaha County Hospital. Fisher was transferred to an Omaha hospital for evaluation.
