Director Sought for Nemaha NRD Board Vacancy in Nebr. City Area

The Nemaha Natural Resources District is looking for someone to fill a vacancy on its board of directors. As of January, 2019, a position in the Nebraska City area is vacant since no one ran for the job during the November, 2018, general election.

The NRD’s board of directors will accept written applications from interested, potential directors. Applicants must be registered voters who also meet all other eligibility requirements for holding an elected office and reside within the appropriate boundaries of the vacant subdistrict.

The position is a two-year term since the position was vacated within the first 19 months of the term; it will then come back up for election in the 2020 election. (NRD board members are normally elected to four-year terms during the primary/general elections in even numbered years.)
