December Temperatures Were Above Normal, Precipitation Below Average

December averaged 5.5 degrees above normal with Christmas Day’s 62 degrees being the warmest Dec 25th since 1936 and the third warmest every, also following 64 degrees in 1929. The coolest temperature of the month was 9 degrees on December 17th and 18th. There were six subfreezing maximums, while the normal is 10 such readings.
