Dec. 28 Hearing to Close and Vacate County Road Northwest of Brownville
A public hearing to close or vacate a county road northwest of Brownville is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 9 a.m. On Wednesday, Nov. 16, the Nemaha County Commissioners approved a resolution to set the hearing. Back in August, Arlin Aufenkamp requested the road be closed or vacated.
Four other resolutions were adopted by the commissioners. One resolution involved a supplemental project program agreement on a bridge project southwest of Brock. The construction phase including construction engineering is changing to 80 percent federal share and 20 percent soft match funds. The change results from state aid bridge funds being unavailable at this time. Preliminary engineering, National Environmental Policy Act, right of way and utility funding remain at 10 percent each from the county and state aid bridge fund with the rest from federal share.
