City Council to Act on It in November

The 2019 Auburn Board of Public Works (BPW) budget was approved Thursday night, Oct. 11. It is being forwarded to the Auburn City Council Monday, Nov. 12 for its approval. The electrical department is budgeting $5,968,777, which will be below the 2018 figure of $6.1 million.

Anticipated revenue will be $6,014,740. Budgeted expenses in other departments will be $1,298,320 water and $1,182,853 wastewater. General Manager Dave Hunter noted the electrical budget is the largest because of the voltage conversion. Most capital projects in the coming year will consist of normal maintenance, he stated. BPW is trying to keep projects manageable, Hunter said.
