Brownville Celebrated Old Time Autumn

VISITORS TO Brownville Saturday, Oct. 10, had several attractions to keep them occupied at the Historical Society’s Old Time Autumn celebration.

The Civil War re-enactors did not make their biennial trip as many troupes did not want to travel with the continuing COVID-19. However, music and demonstrations were offered during the morning.

At right, the Roundhouse Bluegrass Band entertains with period selections on the grounds of the 1854 Didier Cabin. From left are, Don Knudsen of Omaha on banjo, Duane Miller of Fremont on fiddle, Darrel Kois of Omaha on guitar and vocalist Debbie Briggs of Norfolk. The ensemble closed the day with a performance at the village hall.
