APS Board of Education Approves Superintendent Contract with David Patton for 2020-2022 Academic Period

A two-year superintendent contract with David Patton was approved Monday night, Jan. 13 by the Auburn Public Schools (APS) Board of Education.

It takes effect Wednesday, July 1, 2020 extending through Thursday, June 30, 2022. Patton’s 2020-2021 salary will be $148,500. The annual salary for the second and any subsequent years are being set by the school board. In December, the school board approved negotiating a contract with Patton after interviewing three individuals. The agreement is available for public inspection on the APS website: www.auburnpublicschools.org.

Patton is coming to Auburn from Omaha. He currently serves as chief executive officer of the Learning Community. It consists of 11 school districts in Douglas and Sarpy counties.
