APS Board of Education Accepts Four Resignations, Hires Two New Teachers in May

Four staff resignations were accepted Monday night, May 10 by the Auburn Public Schools (APS) Board of Education. Contracts of two new teachers were approved.

Those leaving the district will be: Michael Anderson, secondary mathematics; Leah Wehenkel, middle school science; Michaela Yearley, middle school guidance and Amanda Reynolds, afternoon preschool and after school program director.

Joining APS will be Allysyn Molzahn-Paap, secondary mathematics and Trey Bardsley, who will split time between computer science and special education paraprofessional.

“We’re excited to have (Molzahn-Paap). She’s an experienced teacher. She will be a great asset to the district. She comes highly recommended,” Superintendent David Patton announced.
