Preparations Continue for Dec. 3-4 Nemaha County Gives Back Winter Festival; Photos Sought from Military

Organizers are working on plans for the Nemaha County Gives Back Winter Festival. The event will be held Dec. 3rd and 4th from 5 - 8pm at the 4-H Building in Auburn.
There will be a free will offering soup supper, entertainment provided by local groups, a Christmas tree/wreath auction and a Military Tribute both evenings. All proceeds from the festival will help to buy toys, gifts, clothing and food baskets for the designated needy families, elderly and disabled in our county.
They are looking for pictures for our traveling Military Board! If you know of someone who is serving in the military, they are asking for their pictures. Whether they are serving overseas or stationed in the United States, and have Nemaha County ties, please contact the committee. They need to have all pictures in by Nov. 15th and the photos must be 5x7 or a 4x6.
A DVD will be played during the event, recognizing the military members individually. We welcome all family members of those individuals at the event.
The traveling Military Board will be on display at the event on Dec. 3rd and 4th and then will travel around the county through the Holidays! If your organization, church, or business would like to have the Board on display, please let them know.
If you would like to help serve or provide a dessert for the event, that would be great too!
