I-29 May Reopen to Traffic Later This Week

According to news reports, word was that Interstate 29 would be reopening from South of Omaha towards Kansas City.

A section has been closed for several months between in western Iowa to near Rock Port, Mo., due to Missouri River flooding. While there may be some one-lane traffic on a bridge(s) near Hamburg, Iowa, the reopening may help lessen traffic on Highway 75 through Auburn. However, the junctions on Highways 136 and 2 leading towards Brownville and Nebraska City remain closed due to damages from flooding. This photograph is a view of I-29 north from the Rock Port junction.
