Billesbach Recognized With NASB Level IV Award

Barb Billesbach, Auburn Public Schools (APS) Board of Education member, received the Nebraska Association of School Boards (NASB) Level IV award at the organization’s Region I meeting in Beatrice.

John Spatz, NASB executive director, recognized and presented Billesbach the Level IV award pin and marble paperweight during the area banquet. Only 1 percent of local board of education members in Nebraska reach Level IV.
The award is part of NASB’s Awards of Achievement Program. The program recognizes board members across the state who strive to keep abreast of ever changing issues facing education. Board members accumulate points by serving in NASB governance roles, and participating in NASB and local board development activities. Ten achievement levels comprise the award program.
Billesbach has served as an APS Board of Education member for eight years and regularly participates in NASB professional development workshops and conferences.
