Volunteers Work to Slow Missouri River Progression

MORE THAN 30 volunteers helped with sandbagging Tuesday, July 5, at the Peru Trailhead.

 

 

That morning, 12 new sand boils were found on the levee. (above) Sandbags are loaded on a pickup to be taken to the levee.

Volunteers fill sandbags early that afternoon with many filled sandbags stacked in the background.

Volunteers place sandbags out near the Missouri River levee on Tuesday as a number of new sand boils were discovered that morning.
