Proposals will be received by the office of the County Clerk of Nemaha County, Nebraska until July 12, 2011 for providing professional services for the Preliminary Engineering and NEPA document preparation for a bridge replacement.  Proposals received after the specified time will be returned unopened to sender.  Proposals must be based on the County of Nemaha, NE Request for Proposals.  Contact Joyce Oakley, Nemaha County Clerk 402-274-4213 for proposal packet and further information.
The chosen consultant will be required to comply with the County of Nemaha, Nebraska insurance requirements.
Proposals will be evaluated based upon professional qualifications, technical competence for this type of work, past performance, ability to complete work in the required time, and familiarity with Nemaha county infrastructure and this project.  
Proposals shall remain firm for a period of 60 days after the proposal due date.  The county of Nemaha, Nebraska reserves the right to refuse any or all proposals and to waive technicalities in order to accept proposals that may be in the best interest of the county of Nemaha, Nebraska, at its sole discretion.

The Board of Education of School District #29 of Nemaha County met on June 20, 2011 at the Auburn Public Schools, Central Office for the purpose of conducting the regular board meeting.    Notice of the meeting was duly published in the Auburn Newspapers.
President Stephen Kennedy called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.  Roll call of members present were: Kennedy, Billesbach and Kernes Krause and Zaruba.
Motion by Kernes Krause and second by Billesbach to approve the consent agenda that includes the minutes of the 5-16-11 regular meeting.  Roll call vote: Kennedy (yes), Billesbach (yes), Zaruba (yes) and Kernes Krause (yes). Motion carried 4-0.
Motion by Zaruba and second by Kernes Krause to excuse the absent board members Oestmann and Hemmingsen. Roll call vote: Kennedy (yes), Billesbach (yes), Zaruba (yes) and Kernes Krause (yes). Motion carried 4-0.

President Stephen Kennedy adjourned the meeting at 5:54 p.m.
The next regular monthly meeting of the Board of Education will be held on July 18, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. at the Auburn Public Schools Central Office, 1713 J St., Auburn, NE. The agenda for the regular school board meeting shall be kept continuously current and shall be readily available for public inspection at the superintendent’s office during normal business hours.  All items on the board agenda are subject to discussion and/or board action.  The board may enter closed session regarding any item on the agenda, which is permitted by Nebraska Statute.

Meeting called to order at 6:30 pm by Chairman Martin Hayes, Board members present:  Bob Sailors, Paul Fish, Jay Tallmon and Martin Hansen and clerk Charlotte McComas.
Motion by Fish , seconded by Tallmon to approve the agenda as reviewed.  All yes votes.  Motion carried.

Paul Fish and Jay Tallmon attended an informational meeting for new board members in Auburn.  Paul gave a report on some of the information received at the meeting.
Fish suggested that a packet be prepared for the meetings with the minutes and financial information in it, and not reading all that information at the meeting.  
It was also suggested that a letter be sent to all Brownville vendors to have bills in to the clerks office by Wednesday before the seconded Monday of the month.
Old Business:
The Board is questioning when the Opera House work will be completed.
Bob Sailors wanted to know when the county will repair the drainage issue on the curve on Richard Street south of Hansen’s property.
Motion by Hansen, seconded by Hayes to adjourn.  All yes votes.  Motion carried.  Adjourn at 7:35 pm.

Marty Fattig, Director, Nemaha County Hospital presented to the Board of Commissioners Nemaha County Hospital’s FY 2010-2011 annual financial & statistical reports.
Board took no action on appointing a road employee to take welding certification class for overhead welding.
