A Brock woman sustained visible but not disabling injuries early Wednesday afternoon, March 18, in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 67 five miles west of Peru and eight-tenths of a mile east of Highway 75. Sheriff Lottman Investigated Nemaha County Sheriff Brent Lottman reported at 12:35 p.m. Ashley D. Kite, age 29, was driving a 2006 Pontiac GGT fourdoor sedan eastbound on Highway 67. She went left of center, clipping the left side of a westbound 1993 Buick PKA four-door sedan driven by Michael L. Casavant, age 24, of Lincoln. Kite subsequently went to the right and off of the south side of the highway, overcorrected and went off the north side of Highway 67, causing her vehicle to roll and come to rest on its top in a field drive, the sheriff concluded.
