Johnson-Brock Public School will have an open house Tuesday, Dec. 30, from 4 to around 7 to 8 p.m. to allow the public to tour the new addition west of the 1936 building. The new addition includes a new media center, science room and Title I classroom. Superintendent Jeff Koehler noted the new addition cost about $1,370,000, with money from the depreciation fund that covered the costs of the 1936 building updates. The district has about $865,000 borrowed and the plan is to have it paid off in three to four years, he indicated.
