The Pawnee and Nemaha County 4-H Fashion Show was held on Thursday evening, July 8 at Long’s Creek Village Assisted Living, Auburn. Four-H members modeled the garments they had constructed, decorated, or purchased in their different projects.
There are various clothing projects: for some, the 4-H’er makes the article/outfit, with others the 4-H’er decorates a piece of clothing, and then there is a consumerism division where the 4-H’er can purchase an outfit keeping in mind the cost, construction, care, and the question of whether the garment(s) fit into his/her wardrobe.  
The Clover Kid Show included a modeled outfit and Show & Tell presentations. The Music & Theater Arts Contests finished the evening. Entries included vocal and instrumental solos, drill dance routine, intergenerational presentation and poem.
The evening was entertaining for the residents to see all of the outfits modeled, to hear about each one in a written narrative, to watch the various 4-H and Clover Kid presentations and to enjoy the music performed by the 4-H’ers. The staff of Long’s Creek treated the 4-Her’s and guests to tea, lemonade, and hot dogs in honor of National Hot Dog Day.
