Nemaha Herald

Southeast Nebraska Republicans were urged to exercise their right to vote in the Tuesday, Nov. 4, general election. Sunday night, Sept. 28, at the Johnson American Legion Hall, about 275 persons from Nemaha, Otoe, Johnson, Pawnee and Richardson counties heard from candidates for area, state and national office at the 10th biennial Southeast Nebraska Five-County Barbecue. Ken Riley and Laura Osborne, both of Auburn, served as co-hosts. Municipal, county and regional candidates were recognized and a few addressed the audience.
