The Board of Commissioners of the County of Nemaha, Nebraska will receive sealed bids at the office of the Nemaha County Clerk until March 24, 2010 8:30 a.m. for the replacement of 2 existing heating and air conditioning rooftop units at the Nemaha County Law Enforcement Building, 1805 N Street, Auburn NE.
Receipt of bids will close at 8:30 a.m., on the 24th day of March, 2010 and immediately thereafter such bids will be simultaneously opened publicly and in the presence of the bidders or representatives of the bidders. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and marked on the outside “Heating/Air Conditioning Law Enforcement. Bldg.”
The County of Nemaha, Nebraska reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any or all bids.  No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 30 days after the time of receiving bids.  Awarding of the bid will be in accordance with Section #10 of LB 393 known as the County Purchasing Act.

AUBURN, NEBRASKA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all persons owning or occupying lots or parcels of land in Street Improvement Projects Nos. 2008-1 and 2008-2 of the City of Auburn, Nebraska; that the Mayor and Council of the City will meet in the City Hall in said City on the 22nd day of March, 2010, at 5:15 o’clock p.m. for the purpose of considering and levying special assessments on the lots and parcels of land in said Projects. At said time and place a hearing will be granted to all persons owning or occupying said tracts or parcels of land or otherwise interested therein. A map of the property in said Projects is on file in the office of the City Clerk and is open to public inspection.
The street improved in Street Improvement Project No. 2008-1 is “S” Street from the intersection of “S” Street and 23rd Street, south approximately 300 feet.

Notice of Taking Bids for Demolition & Clearance of Residential Property City of Auburn NSP1 Bid Round #1
You are hereby notified that the City of Auburn is taking bids for the complete demolition and site clearance of 2 properties in Auburn Nebraska located at: 904 “N” St. Street, and 1000 “G” St. Street.
Bids must be received by the City Clerk’s office, City of Auburn, 1101 “J” Street, Auburn, NE 68305 on or before 7:50 AM on Monday 3-15-2010. At which time bids will be publicly opened and tabulated for presentation to the Auburn Housing Advisory Board/KAB and City of Auburn City Council.  It is anticipated that the City Council will take action on said bids at the 3-22-2010 City Council meeting.
Bidders should obtain from the City Clerk’s office at the City of Auburn, Nebraska the Project Specifications and bid forms for Demolition & Clearance of Residential Property – City of Auburn NSP1 Bid Round #1 prior to submitting their bids.
NOTE: The 2 properties in this Bid Round #1 have had an inspection for asbestos containing materials and were found to not contain asbestos containing materials.    The City of Auburn Building Inspector and Auburn Fire Chief will  coordinate &  manage the burning of the structures in place.   Following burning and a cool down period, the contractor awarded this bid will complete the  demolition & clearance to include demolition and clearance of the remains of the wood frame houses including any basement foundation walls and/or basement floors according to the adopted Auburn building codes, and any detached structures, trees/stumps, cellar, and other miscellaneous debris.  Please see Bid Packet Specification XV for specific item(s) to be retained/maintained/ to remain on each  site once the demolition project has been completed.
This activity is being funded via the HUD Neighborhood Stabilization Program and as such has specific standards and documentation requirements.  The interim target is to have 2 units demolished and cleared by 3-31-2010.
