NOTICE OF RENEWAL OF RETAIL LIQUOR LICENSE

Minutes of the ESU #4 Meeting Held
January 11, 2010
The Board of Educational Service Unit 4 held its regular meeting on Monday, January 11, 2010, at 5:15 p.m. at the Educational Service Unit in Auburn, Nebraska. The following claims were paid for the month of January:
General Fund    $51,831.37
Payroll    $334,329.90
NCECBVI    $27,927.38
Federal Programs    $700.69
The Board of Educational Service Unit 4 will meet in regular session on Monday, February 8, 2010, at 5:15 p.m. in the conference room at the office of Educational Service Unit 4, 919 16th Street, Auburn, Nebraska. The Region 4 Preschool Planning Team will meet on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. at the ESU 4 Learning Center, 1109 R Street, Auburn, Nebraska. Agendas for both meetings, kept current, are readily available for public inspection at the office of the Administrator during normal business hours.

MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETINGS OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, NEMAHA COUNTY, NEBRASKA
HELD JANUARY 4, 2010
THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, NEMAHA COUNTY, NEBRASKA (BPW), met in special session on the 4th day of January 2010 at the City Council Chambers at the hour of 7:00 P.M.  Said meeting being held in open session as required by Chapter 84, Article 14 of Nebraska Statutes.
Chairman Schneider called the meeting to order and requested roll call:  Members present - Glenn, Hahn, Kubik, Snyder, Schneider; absent - none.  
Chairman Schneider announced this was an open meeting and information about open meetings was posted on the north wall of the Council Chambers.
Chairman Schneider noted all Board Members have received a copy of the Agenda for this meeting.
Purpose of the meeting being to hold a Public Meeting to receive input on the Electric Rate Study & Rates. Ken Fairchild of Olsson Associates gave a presentation and he, General Manager Hunter and Board Members answered questions of those attending.  The main reason for the rate increase of a little over six percent is due to increases in wholesale power, which the Board purchases from Nebraska Public Power District and Western Area Power Administration.  A small portion will go towards a reserve fund to build reserves for future needed capital improvements.
There being no further business to come before the Board, motion was moved by Member Snyder the Board adjourn to the regular Board Meeting to be held January 11, 2010 at the at the hour of 12:00 Noon at the regular meeting place of the Board.  Member Glenn seconded the motion. Roll call: those voting aye: Glenn, Hahn, Kubik, Snyder, Schneider.  Chairman Schneider declared the meeting adjourned.  Agenda items will be posted.
