Ginny Karpinski, age 67 of rural Stella, Nebraska passed away on April 18, 2016 at Bryan LGH West Hospital in Lincoln, Neb., with her husband Frank by her side. Ginny was born on March 28, 1949  In Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Jesse and Virginia (Tabone) Tucker. She graduated from Harlem High School in Loves Park, Ill. Ginny was united in marriage to Frank D. Karpinski on November 15, 1968 in Freeport, Ill. She was a housewife and homemaker and also worked for 12 years at the Glenwood State School, Glenwood, Iowa. Frank and Ginny served as foster parents the last 32 years and during that time helped in raising some 200 children! She is survived by her husband, Frank Karpinsi of Stella; seven children: Katie Smithberg and husband Mike of Plattsmouth, Neb.; Amie Karpinski of Stella; Christie Karpinski and significant other Chris Jones of Plainfield, Ill.; Bud Karpinski and wife Lacey of Barada, Neb.; Rachel Karpinski of Syracuse, Neb., Nate Foreman of Lincoln, Neb. and Micky Karpinksi and wife Brandi of Shubert, Neb.; seven grandchildren; brothers: Rick Tucker and wife Vickie of Loves Park, Ill. and David Tucker and wife Sandy of Durand, Ill.; extended family: Tausha and Tim Pokorny; Crystal Shaffer, Alicia Schoenberger, Ogie Nelson, Erin and Danny Beckman, M.J. and John Driskell and Sally Nuss; other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Baylie Jo Karpinski on March 18, 2015. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 28 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Nemaha County 4-H Building in Auburn.
