Auburn State Theater’s New Seating Is In Place; Thursday, Dec. 6 Open House Precedes Friday’s Opening of Skyfall
AFTER SEVERAL delays, the 240 new seats for the Auburn State Theater arrived Friday morning, Nov. 30.

The theater closed Friday, Nov. 2, for floor preparation before seat installation. There will be an open house from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6 to allow the public to see the new seating. Above, the seats will be filled with moviegoers when the theater reopens Friday, Dec. 7. Showing that night will be Skyfall, starring Daniel Craig, the 23rd James Bond movie. Friday, Dec. 14, The Hobbit: The Unexpected Journey will open the day of its national break. It is the prequel to the trilogy based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings.
