A Holiday Madrigal Dinner Dec. 7-8 Featuring The Peru State College Madrigal Singers

Come back in time and celebrate the holidays with the Peru State College Madrigal Singers in “A Holiday Madrigal Dinner.”
The dinner is Friday, Dec. 7, in the Peru State College Student Center. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The Royal Procession will be at 7 p.m.
The cost is $30 per person.  Tickets are available. Checks or credit cards are accepted.  To make reservations contact:  402-872-2253.
The evening includes a full dinner of quicken quarters, stuffed pork loin, new roasted potatoes, vegetable medley, salad, French onion soup and a trio of special desserts.
Music for the evening includes many traditional madrigals, songs from the season, some holiday musical parodies and a presentation of the new opera, “The Kingdom of Where” with a cast of very unusual characters and a special “Masquerade of Balls.”  
There will lots of music and lots of humor including a Court Jester and trumpets to help organize the evening.  
“ It’s a great way to celebrate the holidays,” said Dr. Thomas Ediger, director of choral activities at Peru State College and director of the Madrigal Singers.
Saturday, Dec. 8, the Peru State College Madrigal Singers will also present “A Holiday Madrigal Dinner” at Camp Catron in Nebraska City.  This event is sponsored by the Apple Corps men’s barbershop chorus.  Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the Royal Procession will be at 6:30 p.m.  The rest of the information is the same for both nights except for the menu. But the evening includes the full complement of dinner, music, the opera, etc.
