Board of Equalization of the County of Nemaha, State of Nebraska met on September 26, 2012 Commissioners Chambers, Nemaha County Courthouse, Auburn NE. Notice of meeting published in the Nemaha County Herald on September 20, 2012.  The agenda for the meeting was kept continually current and available for public inspection at the office of Nemaha County Clerk during normal business hours and also on the Nemaha County website ( HYPERLINK “http://www.nemahacounty.ne.gov” www.nemahacounty.ne.gov).  The agenda was held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the board and items for approval by the Board of Equalization.  The Board of Equalization has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting.
Chairman called the meeting to order at 11:38 a.m.  Roll call: Commissioner District 1 Bob Hutton, Commissioner District 2 Dennis Wittmann, Commissioner District 3 Marvin Bohling, County Clerk Joyce Oakley and County Treasurer Pat Holtzman.
Chairman Wittmann noted the posting of the Open Meeting Poster and the availability of the Open Meeting Handouts to the public.
Motion by Bohling, seconded by Hutton to approve the agenda as presented.  Roll call vote:  Wittmann, aye; Hutton, aye; Bohling, aye.

Chairman Wittmann opened the Public Hearing on Motor Vehicle Exemptions at 11:39 a.m. Notice of public notice was published in the Nemaha County Herald on September 13, 2012.    The following were present at the public hearing:  Commissioner Bob Hutton, Commissioner Dennis Wittmann, Commissioner Marvin Bohling, County Clerk Joyce Oakley and Treasurer Pat Holtzman.  No one was present to oppose the Motor Vehicle exemption for Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Home Care of SE Nebraska on a 2011 Chevrolet Impala.
Chairman Wittmann closed the public hearing at 11:40 a.m.
Motion by Bohling, seconded by Hutton to approve the Application on Motor Vehicle Tax Exemption, Form 457 for Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Home Care of SE Nebraska on 2011 Chevrolet Impala.  Roll call vote: Hutton, aye; Bohling, aye; Wittmann, aye.

Copies of the Bid Documents and Specifications are open to public inspection at the office of the Nemaha County Clerk, 1824 N Street, Suite 201, Auburn, Nebraska 68305. A set of documents may be obtained from Mainelli Wagner & Associates, Inc. for a non-refundable fee of $30.00  (6920 Van Dorn, Suite “A” Lincoln, Nebraska 68506 PH:  402-421-1717). All Bid Proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished with the Bid Documents.

County Board of Commissioners of the County of Nemaha, State of Nebraska met on September 28, 2012, Commissioner’s Chambers, Nemaha County Courthouse, Auburn NE for an emergency meeting to rescind a previously adopted Resolution for subdivision of a tract of land and to adopt a Resolution for a new subdivision of a tract of land for the Ella Bergmann Trust.  Notice of meeting e-mailed to the local media on September 27, 2012. Sandy Morrissey, Region V Systems Director of Regional Prevention Coordinator explained NADAA (Nemaha Against Drug and Alcohol Abuse) will receive a Prevention Federal Block Grant in the amount of $14,382.00 for the FY2012-2013.  She also indicated there are several mini block grants and state training funds available to local coalition.  Laura Osborne, NADAA Director presented the Nemaha Against Drug and Alcohol Abuse annual report of activities and events.
The following fuel bids for October, 2012 were received:  Lueders Petroleum No. 2 Diesel $3.775, Unleaded $3.775; Farmers Coop No. 2 Diesel $3.73, Unleaded $3.78.  Motion by Bohling, seconded by Wittmann to award the fuel bid for #2 Diesel to Coop and Regular Unleaded to Lueders for the month October, 2012.  Roll call vote: Hutton, aye; Bohling, aye; Wittmann, aye.     
Motion by Wittmann, seconded by Bohling to adopt the inter local agreement with the Nemaha County Agricultural Society on sharing of county road equipment and personnel for special projects between the Nemaha County Agricultural Society and the County of Nemaha, Nebraska for a term of 5 years.  Roll call vote:  Wittmann, aye; Bohling, aye; Hutton, aye.
Motion by Wittmann, seconded by to appoint Jim Biaggi as Responsible Charge for Nemaha County, effective 9-17-12.  The Board of Commissioners received notification that Biaggi passed his National Highway Institute on line and classroom courses as required by the Federal Highway Authority and Nebraska Department of Roads.
