Auburn’s July 4 Will Include Breakfast, Ice Cream, Fireworks

Morning and evening activities are scheduled Wednesday, July 4, in Auburn to celebrate Independence Day.
From 7-10:30 a.m. is the seventh annual Nemaha County Veterans Pancake Feed at the Nemaha County 4-H Building. Veterans, emergency medical services workers, firefighters and law enforcement officers will be honored.
Pancakes, eggs and sausages will be served. There will be a freewill offering. Proceeds will benefit the school supplies program. Sponsors include Calvary Christian Center Assembly of God, Darling’s Cafe and McDonald’s.Jeff Lane and Made Worthy will sing patriotic and classic gospel songs.
At 8 p.m., members of First United Methodist Church, Auburn, are sponsoring an ice cream social at Auburn High School.
At 10 p.m. is a fireworks display. Sponsors are Auburn Eagles No. 3767 and the Auburn Volunteer Fire Department.
