St. Louis, Missouri A Great Place to Live, Work and Play for Whitney Clark

Whitney Clark walks two blocks to work every day in the heart of downtown St. Louis, Missouri and she loves it.

Whitney is a direct service representative with the St. Louis Cardinals organization, a position she began in February of 2011. Little did she know that eight months after she started work there, Whitney would be part of an organization that would be celebrating a MBL World Series Championship.
After graduating from Auburn High School in 2005 Whitney attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney and received a degree in sports administration. Whitney’s first opportunity in her chosen career came when she accepted an internship with the NBA Orlando Magic organization in 2008. That opportunity was a year long internship that got her foot in the door of professional sports. During her internship the Magic went all the way to the NBA Finals before losing, but the experience that Whitney received during her brief tenure in Florida has served her well in furthering her career.
Whitney’s primary job during the off-season has her helping with ticket sales for the Cardinal baseball team. Busch Stadium is home to the Cardinals and for the most part baseball games are all that take place at the venue. Whitney says the day-to-day work during the off-season is steady, but when the MBL season gets rolling her job description broadens. Her primary function is ensuring that the customer has a satisfying experience when attending a game and that requires that Whitney interacts directly with the fans. She enjoys that part by answering the phone while trying to calm an unsatisfied customer is one of her lesser liked job duties.
Overall, Whiney says that she loves the work she does and enjoys living in the “Heart” of St. Louis. And, for the immediate future she can’t think of anything else she’d rather be doing.
