Charity Bow Hunt Raises $1,200 for Nemaha Valley Lodge No. 4

A charity bow hunt for deer has made an initial $1,200 donation to Nemaha Valley Lodge No. 4 in Brownville a reality.

Roger Harold ‘Dutch’ Neihart made the $1,200 donation official Wednesday night (Nov. 9) at the Lodge’s Stated Meeting to Nemaha Valley’s Worshipful Master Jim Rendleman and Past-Master Mark Caspers. Both Rendleman and Caspers were among the organizers of the charity event.
Neihart is an officer at the Phoenix Lodge No. 346 in Sarasota, Florida. He is the son of the late Harold Neihart of Auburn, who was both a Mason and Shiner. This event is only made possible by local farmers donating the use of their farmland to benefit this worthy Masonic cause. Participating bow hunters were all experienced and came to Southeast Nebraska from as far away as Massachusetts and Florida.
Family Connection Cafe of Auburn also donated to the event.
All monies raised will be used by the Nemaha Valley Masons to support local charities and to fund scholarships for local students.
Land owners or farmers wanting to participate in this Masonic charity event in the future, may contact Jim Rendleman at 402-274-3363 or Mark Caspers at 402-274-3000.
