History of the Nemaha County Herald
The Auburn Newspapers publishes the Nemaha County Herald, which is a combination of the Auburn Press-Tribune and the Nemaha County Herald. The merger took place in July 2006.
The Nemaha County Herald was established in 1888. It is published every Thursday and is the official newspaper for the City of Auburn and Nemaha County.
The Auburn Press-Tribune was a consolidation of the Stella Press, established in 1882, and the Auburn Tribune. The two publications combined on January 7, 1954. The Auburn Press Tribune was published weekly on Tuesdays.
