1944-2013
Frances Lee Albright, 69, of Dawson, Nebraska, was born on January 11, 1944, in Maysville, Missouri to Harry A. and Leora C. (Horsman) West. She grew up in Maysville, Missouri and attended grade school there.
Frances later graduated from Maysville High School with the class of 1962. After graduation, Frances continued her education and received training to work as a nurse’s aid, licensed cosmetologist, certified nurse’s aid, and certified medical technician.
On May 1, 1971, Frances was united in marriage to Robert Albright in St. Joseph, Missouri. The couple lived in St. Joseph, Missouri for a couple of years before moving to the Humboldt area. They moved to Dawson, Nebraska in 1993 and lived there until Bob died in November of 2003. Frances continued to live in Dawson and worked as a medical technician at the Colonial Acres Nursing Home in Humboldt.
She was a member of the Woodson Chapel Christian Church in St. Joseph, Missouri and a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #234 in Humboldt. Frances was initiated into the O.E.S. Chapter #234 on April 18, 1978 and served as Worthy Matron for the chapter three times. She held a position in office for the chapter every year of her membership except for one year. Frances was a loving and kind person who was willing to help. She was a foster parent to many lucky children in the area and always greeted you with a smile.
Frances passed away at the Community Medical Center in Falls City, Nebraska on Saturday, January 12, 2013, having reached the age of 69 years and one day.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert “Bob” Albright, infant sisters Marcia and Martha West, and nephews Jerome Richway and Ronald Rainey.
Frances is survived by her sisters: Sharon Rainey and her husband Norman of Maysville, Mo.; Sandra Richway and her husband Jerry of Harrison, Michigan; Eileen Barber and her husband Kenny of Maysville, Mo.; foster children: Anne Kleeman of Auburn and Keith Adams of Falls City, Neb.; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at The Christian Church in Humboldt, Neb., with Pastor Jerry Albright officiating.
An Eastern Star Service was conducted by O.E.S. Chapter #234 at Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt.
Interment was at the Humboldt Cemetery.
