NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given by the Mayor and Council of the City of Auburn, Nebraska that a public hearing will be held on February 14, 2011 at 7:30 p.m., or as soon as possible thereafter, at the Auburn City Hall, 1101 J. Street, Auburn, Nebraska.  The purpose of the hearing is to obtain public comment prior to considering a substantial modification to the redevelopment plan for Redevelopment Area #1, Redevelopment Project #4 (the “Northwest Sewer Project Area”), including approving certain additional redevelopment projects and adding certain real property to Redevelopment Area #1, Redevelopment Project #4 (respectively, the “Original Downtown Project Area” and the “New Southeast Property Project Area”).  The boundaries of all real property at issue are described as follows:

January 17, 2011
The Board of Education of School District #29 of Nemaha County met on January 17, 2011 at the Auburn Public Schools, Central Office for the purpose of conducting the regular board meeting.    Notice of the meeting was duly published in the Auburn Newspapers.
President Beth Kernes Krause called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.  Roll call of members present were: Hemmingsen, Kennedy, Billesbach and Kernes Krause.  Zaruba and Oestmann were absent.
Motion by Hemmingsen and second by Billesbach to approve the consent agenda that includes the minutes of the 12-13-10 regular meeting.  Roll call vote:  Kennedy (yes), Billesbach (yes), Kernes Krause (yes) and Hemmingsen (yes).  Motion carried 4-0.
Visitors included:  Wayne Chase, David Swanson, Corey Miller, Steve Nelson, Lee Connor, Kim Kieler, Brody Clark, Pat Engles, Bob Engles and the Administrators.
President Beth Kernes Krause adjourned the meeting at 7:03 p.m.

Motion by Billesbach and second by Hemmingsen that Superintendent Steve Schneider be appointed as temporary Chairman for the election of President for the 2011 school year.
Supt. Schneider presented a plaque to the outgoing President, Beth Kernes Krause for her service to the district.
Motion by Billesbach and second by Hemmingsen to nominate Stephen Kennedy for president.  
Motion by Hemmingsen and second by Billesbach that nominations cease and the ballot be cast for president. Roll call vote: Kennedy (yes), Billesbach (yes), Kernes Krause (yes) and Hemmingsen (yes).  Motion carried 4-0.
Board voted unanimously Stephen Kennedy to be the 2011 president.  
Motion by Hemmingsen and second by Kernes Krause to nominate JaNay Oestmann for vice-president.  
Motion by Kernes Krause and second by Hemmingsen that nominations cease and the ballot be cast for vice president. Roll call vote: Kennedy (yes), Billesbach (yes), Kernes Krause (yes) and Hemmingsen (yes).  Motion carried 4-0.
Board voted unanimously for JaNay Oestmann for vice-president.
