MINUTES OF THE NEMAHA COUNTY BOARD OF
EQUALIZATION MEETING
NOVEMBER 24, 2010
Board of Equalization of the County of Nemaha, State of Nebraska met on November 24, 2010 Commissioners Chambers, Nemaha County Courthouse, Auburn NE. Notice of meeting published in the Nemaha County Herald on November 18, 2010. The agenda for the meeting was kept continually current and available for public inspection at the office of Nemaha County Clerk during normal business hours and also on the Nemaha County website ( HYPERLINK “http://www.nemahacounty.ne.gov” www.nemahacounty.ne.gov). The agenda was held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the board and items for approval by the Board of Equalization. The Board of Equalization has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting.
Chairman Randy Rohrs called the meeting to order at a.m. Present for the meeting were:

Treasurer Pat Holtzman presented Exemption Application for Tax Exemption on Motor Vehicles, Form 457 for Hearts United for Animals, 2005 Chevrolet Pickup and 2006 Chevrolet Van. Motion by Lovelace, seconded by Hutton to approve Motor Vehicle tax exemption for Hearts United for Animals for 2005 Chevrolet Pickup and 2006 Chevrolet Van. Roll call vote: Lovelace, aye; Hutton, aye; Rohrs, aye.
Assessor Lila Gottula presented Exemption Application for Tax Exemption on Real & Personal Property, Form 451 for Region Five Foundation on parcel 640006213. Motion by Hutton, seconded by Lovelace to approve the application for tax exemption for Region Five Foundation on parcel 640006213 Howe, Nixon & Willson Add to Auburn Block 17 N90 ft of Lot 1 & N 90 ft of E45 ft of Lot 2. Roll call vote: Hutton, aye; Rohrs, aye; Lovelace, aye.
Assessor Lila Gottula presented tax list correction #961 parcel 640009190 for Clarence & Frances Yates, letter from Dept of Revenue correcting Homestead exemption from 70% to 100% of the maximum allowed by law, tax credit $401.74. Motion by Lovelace, seconded by Hutton to approve tax list correction #961 for Clarence & Frances Yates in the amount of $401.74 tax credit. Roll call vote: Rohrs, aye; Lovelace, aye. Hutton, aye.

City Council Proceedings
November 5, 2010
The Mayor and Council of the City of Auburn, Nemaha County, Nebraska, were called to meet at the City Hall at 1101 “J” Street on November 5, 2010, at 12:00 o’clock Noon, in Special Meeting, open to the general public.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Robert B. Engles. Upon roll call, the following members of the City Council were present: Snyder, Wittmann, Critser, and Holtzman. Absent: Erickson and Thomas.
Mayor Engles announced that the Open Meetings Act is posted on the North wall of the Chambers by the entrance door.
Council approved the agenda as presented.
Council Member Erickson arrived at 12:03 p.m.
Ordinance No. 11-10, approving the subdivision of Lots 4, 5, and 6 in Terrace Heights 2nd Addition was approved.

The Amendment to the City of Auburn, Nebraska and Board of Public Works Flexible Benefit Plan was approved by the passage and adoption of Resolution No. 25-10.
Reports were given by the following department heads: police department, fire department, library, city services and City Treasurer. Written financial reports were given on sales tax receipts and the Board of Public Works.
Reports were given by the following committees: Street, Keep Auburn Beautiful, Budget/Finance, Economic Development, and Legislative. Other reports included information on the Community Redevelopment Authority program and Veterans Memorial. A written financial report was provided from the Community Redevelopment Authority.
No action was taken on appointments/reappointments.
