NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given by the Chair and Board of the Community Redevelopment Authority (CRA) of the City of Auburn, Nebraska, that the CRA has issued a Request for Proposals whereby the CRA will receive applications from the owners of record (Owners) of real property located within Redevelopment Area No. 1 (Redevelopment Area) for grants to construct certain redevelopment projects on their property. The City of Auburn, Nebraska (City) approved the Redevelopment Plan (TIF Plan) for the Redevelopment Area. The Redevelopment Area description is available in map form at the Auburn City Hall, 1101 “J” Street. The owners are eligible to apply for grants from the CRA to construct any of the redevelopment projects approved by the TIF Plan.
RFP Packets will be available for any interested applicant, at the Auburn City Hall, 1101 “J” Street, Auburn, Nebraska, beginning on September 1, 2010. The CRA will receive the applications and consider them as they come in with possible award beginning on September 14, 2010. Additional applications may be considered after September 14 depending on remaining funds and CRA action. Additional information on the TIP Plan, the Redevelopment Area, and the application process may be obtained at City Hall during regular business hours.

VILLAGE OF BROWNVILLE MONTHLY BOARD MEETING AUGUST 2, 2010
Meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chairman Martin Hayes. Board members present: Bob Sailors, Martin Hansen, Jim Doty, Justin Wheeldon, clerk Charlotte McComas. Visitors ten.
Motion by Hansen, seconded by Sailors to approve the agenda as reviewed. Roll Call: Sailors, yes, Hansen yes, Doty yes, Wheeldon yes. All yes votes. Motion carried.
Motion by Doty, seconded by Hansen to approve the minutes as reviewed with the correction that Jim Gerking asked for a section of the bridge railing for the use on the handicap back entrance to the Masonic Hall, and for Randel Smith to borrow a section to use till the ramp can be repaired. No other correction. Roll Call: Doty yes, Hansen yes, Sailors yes, Wheeldon yes. All yes votes. Motion carried.

Claims were read. Abernathy turned in his second bill for Opera House Renovation for 12,000.00. The final payment the board told him would be when all work was completed. Clerk told board that some of the monthly claims have not been received yet. Board approved paying the monthly claims when received. Sailors told board some of the benches needs fixed at Capital Square, need new door on bottom level of town hall, weeds need cut at utility building property and inside needs cleaned. Hayes told board that they were waiting on the County to level off property at utility building and Randel Smith wanted the extra dirt, but weather has been too wet for removal and leveling. Don Wright asked the board what they were going to do about the water running on his property and Hansen property when it rained. Motion by Hayes, seconded by Doty to talk to Nemaha County Commissioner Bob Hutton about leveling the ground and if the county can’t do it, then get some bids for the job. To correct the drainage problem by Wright’s and Hansen property. Roll Call: Hansen yes, Doty yes, Hayes yes, Sailors yes, Wheeldon yes. All yes votes. Motion carried.
The board agreed to not use the town’s tractor to push brush in at the brush burn site, and to not let anyone use the tractor to clean off the boat ramp.
Scott Atwater asked the board if they tree that is on their property but close to the street if that was the town’s responsibility or property owner to pay for removal. Hayes told Scott that it was the property owners responsibility for the removal and expense.
Renewal of Liquor License for TJ’s Tavern, and The Lyceum. Motion by Hansen, seconded by Sailors to approve the renewal for the two liquor license. Roll Call: Hansen yes, Doty yes, Sailors yes, Wheeldon yes. All yes votes. Motion carried.
Motion by Hansen, seconded by Doty to have Chairman Hayes to sign Resolution #8-02-2010 to adopt the Nemaha Natural Resources District Multi-jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. Roll Call: Doty yes, Hansen yes, Sailors yes, Wheeldon yes. All yes votes. Motion carried.
Jim Mason told the board it was time to renew the EMT Aid Agreement with Nemaha, and the form will be here in a couple weeks to have chairman Hayes to sign. Motion by Hansen, seconded by Doty for Hayes to sign agreement when it’s received. Roll Call: Hansen yes, Doty yes, Sailors yes, Wheeldon yes. All yes votes. Motion carried.
Paul Fish suggested to the board that they should think about changing the monthly board meeting to the second Monday of the month or to a different day in the week. No further comment on the subject. The board did agree to change the September board meeting to the second Monday, September 13, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. as of Labor Day.
Motion by Martin, seconded by Sailors to have Hayes contact JEO to have the town’s Superintendent to look at the streets to see what needs repaired. Also to contact some contractors for bids for street repair. Roll Call: Hansen yes, Doty yes, Sailors yes, Wheeldon yes. All yes votes. Motion carried.
