Brownville Village Theatre Celebrates Triumphant Season

The cast of Brownville Village Theatre (BVT), the oldest repertory theatre in Nebraska, is celebrating one of its most popular seasons in decades due to performances of the musical Snoopy; as well as the comedies and mystery Home is Where Your Clothes Are, Grand Prize, The Burning Man and Playing Doctor. The first three shows opened in June.

The last two will have their first performances Thursday-Friday, July 8-9.
The four plays and one musical will be performed weekends through Sunday, Aug. 15. Starting Thursday, July 8, performances are evenings Thursdays-Sundays, plus matinees Saturdays and Sundays. Seats are filling fast. Reservations are recommended. Walk-ins are welcomed. Box Office Hours are 9-11:30 a.m., and 1-5 p.m. daily. Please call 402-825-4121 for more information or reservations. Thousands of patrons from Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa, Kansas and all other states have attended BVT shows for more than 44 years. The theatre is comprised of a core theatre company of well-rounded theatre professionals. They oversee all the technical aspects of theatre as well as acting in the summer-stock productions. Historic Brownville also offers such attractions as a winery, riverboats, bookstores, galleries, boutiques, and bed and breakfasts.
