Johnson-Brock High Inducts New Honor Society Members

Nine students from Johnson-Brock High School were inducted into membership of the National Honor Society in a ceremony held at the school on Thursday, March 11.

A Faculty Council selected the students for meeting high standards of scholarship, service, leadership and character. Students inducted were Tricia Lempka, Amanda Teten, Clint Damme, Leah Eltiste, Cora Rush, Jonathan Wenzl, Michelle Davidson, Shannon Dierking and Stephanie Teten. Previously inducted members of the NHS are Caleb Chase, Laura Ruskamp, Kayla Fischer, Amanda Dunekacke, Kayla Alberts, Autumn Weiss, MaryAlice Karel, Jessica Grable, Sydney Henderson, Caleb Mayfield, Doug Grotrian, Tessa Wellsandt and Sarah Bohling. The National Honor Society ranks as one of the oldest and most prestigious national organizations for high school students. Chapters exist in more than 60 percent of the nation’s high schools, and since 1921, millions of students have been selected for membership. Millions of dollars in scholarships have been awarded to senior members since 1945 by the sponsoring organization, the National Association of Secondary School Principals. The Johnson-Brock chapter was organized in 1990.
