Agenda: Financial reports, Election term of three (3) board members to the Board of Directors for a term of three years. Any other business that might properly come before the meeting.
The monthly meeting of the Board of Directors, which is open to the public, will be held following adjournment of Annual Meeting.

County Board of Commissioners of the County of Nemaha, State of Nebraska met on January 23, 2013, Commissioner’s Chambers, Nemaha County Courthouse, Auburn NE for a regular scheduled meeting.  Notice of meeting published in the Nemaha County Herald on January 17, 2013. The agenda for the meeting was kept continually current and available for public inspection at the office of Nemaha County Clerk during normal business hours and also on the Nemaha County website.  The agenda was held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the board and items for approval by the Board of Commissioners.  The Board of Commissioners has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting.
Chairman Hutton called the meeting to order at 8:05 a.m. Present for the meeting:  Commissioner District 1 Bob Hutton, Commissioner District 2 Dennis Wittmann, Commissioner District 3 Marvin Bohling and County Clerk Joyce Oakley.
Chairman Hutton led the Pledged of Allegiance.
Chairman Hutton noted the posting of the Open Meeting Poster and the availability of the Open Meeting Handouts to the public.
Visitors present – Dave Swanson, Nemaha County Herald; Luke Winkelman (regarding land currently not assigned to a fire district); Leah Wehenkel & Dennis Brady (regarding repairs/updating to Multi-Plex Bldg & reassigning office spaces)
Motion by Wittmann, seconded by Bohling to approve the agenda as presented.  Roll call vote:  Wittmann, aye; Hutton, aye; Bohling, aye.
Motion by Bohling, seconded by Wittmann to approve the January 9, 2013 regular scheduled meeting minutes with no corrections.  Roll call vote:  Hutton, aye; Wittmann, aye; Bohling, aye.
Motion by Wittmann, seconded by Bohling to approve the accounts payable claims as presented by the County Clerk and authorized for payment by the Board of Commissioners.  Roll call vote:  Bohling, aye; Wittmann, aye; Hutton, aye.
Nemaha County Visitors Committee Member Mary Kruger was present and presented the annual report for the Nemaha County Visitor’s Committee.  Kruger highlighted on projects the committee had accomplished in 2012 with the lodging tax funds and 2013 prioritized committee projects for the County Visitor’s Committee.
Russ Newton, representatives from Nebraska Machinery Company were present to discuss the specs for new truck and rock trailer.  No action was taken.
The following fuel bids for February, 2013 were received:  Lueders Petroleum No. 1 Diesel $ 3.735, No. 2 Diesel $3.585, Unleaded $3.165; Farmers Coop No. 1 Diesel $3.810, No. 2 Diesel $3.590, Unleaded $3.210.  Motion by Bohling, seconded by Wittmann to award the fuel bid for the month February, 2013 to Lueders Petroleum.  Roll call vote:  Bohling, aye; Wittmann, aye; Hutton, aye.
Motion by Bohling, seconded by Wittmann to approve Permit 2013-02 for Under Crossing of County Road/Occupying Co. Rd R-O-W for water/electrical lines applied for by Gobber Farms, located ¼ mile north of Hwy 62 on 628 Ave (Section 28 & 27 T4NR13E).  Roll call vote:  Wittmann, aye; Hutton, aye; Bohling, aye.
Motion by Bohling, seconded by Wittmann to send a letter to Five Rivers RC&D supporting their collection of data on increasing recycling services for 8 counties in Nebraska.  Roll call vote:  Hutton, aye; Wittmann, aye; Bohling, aye.
Motion by Wittmann, seconded by Bohling to adopt Resolution 2013-03 authorizing the County Treasurer to invest county funds as to the best of her ability.  Roll call vote:  Bohling, aye; Hutton, aye; Wittmann, aye.
Motion by Bohling, seconded by Wittmann to hire Elisa Bergmann at custodian for Nemaha County.  Roll call vote: Hutton, aye; Wittmann, aye; Bohling, aye.

Board reviewed the unused office space and the building’s condition and needed repairs.

EQUALIZATION MEETING
JANUARY 23, 2013
Board of Equalization of the County of Nemaha, State of Nebraska met on January 23, 2013 Commissioners Chambers, Nemaha County Courthouse, Auburn NE. Deputy County Assessor Tara Erickson presented Tax List Correction 1301-05 for PAMCO LLC, clerical error, parcel was sold to Farmers Bank of Cook 06/09/11, however property ownership was not changed in computer, deducted tax $150.05.  Motion by Hutton, seconded Bohling to approve tax list correction 1301-05 to PAMCO LLC in the amount of $150.05 deducted tax.  Roll call vote:  Hutton, aye; Bohling, aye; Wittmann, aye.
