Work Has Begun on Oak Bowl Renovation at Peru State

Mild Mid-January weather is allowing work on outdoor construction projects, including renovation of the Oak Bowl football stadium at Peru State College.

Since the last football game played there in October, the pressbox, concessions area, seating and scoreboard were removed. Estimated cost of the renovation is $14 million. Funding for this project incudes $7.5 million in state funding, a $500,000 contribution from Bill and Lee Sapp, with the rest coming from private gifts and contributions. The renovation is scheduled for completion by the first football game of the 2013 season for the Bobcats.
