Auburn Police Officers Sworn In as Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office Deputies

MONDAY MORNING, Dec. 31, Auburn police officers were sworn in by Nancy Hall, clerk magistrate, as Nemaha County Sheriff’s deputies at the district courtroom.

From left are, Eric Adams, Jon Neeman and Jeff Zimmerman. Effective Tuesday, Jan. 1, law enforcement services for Auburn residents, as well as throughout Nemaha County, will be provided by the sheriff’s office.
Adams was an Auburn police officer from 1991 through 2012, and was a jail-dispatcher and sheriff’s deputy before joining the Auburn Police Department. Neeman became an officer in 2011 and Timmerman was an officer for about six years. The addition of the Auburn officers brings the Nemaha County Sheriff’s department to 10 officers. The sheriff’s office also assumed possession of police department property, including patrol vehicles.
